Germany to Employ Four Lakh Skilled Workers from Maharashtra

The agreement aims to address the acute shortage of skilled labor in countries like Japan, France, and Germany.

Pune: In a significant development, the Maharashtra government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany to provide skilled manpower.

This initiative will create job opportunities for approximately four lakh youths from the state, offering them attractive salaries of around two lakhs per month.

The agreement aims to address the acute shortage of skilled labor in countries like Japan, France, and Germany, while also promoting new industrial projects within Maharashtra.

During the inauguration of a Digital CNC Simulation Lab at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Malegaon, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar emphasized the importance of acquiring updated skills and being prepared for global employment opportunities.

The lab, established through the CSR funds of Bharat Forge Company, aims to enhance the vocational training infrastructure in the region.

Pawar praised the contributions of renowned companies like Bharat Forge, Tata, and Bajaj in supporting the government's efforts to develop skilled manpower. He also acknowledged the late former Sarpanch Bhujangrao Taware for his role in providing land for the Malegaon ITI.

Bharat Forge CSR Head Dr. Leena Deshpande highlighted the company's commitment to student development through substantial CSR funding, which has been used to set up Digital CNC Simulation Labs in ITI institutes in Baramati-Malegaon, Bhor, and Karjat. Future contributions are planned for Indapur taluka.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also congratulated Baba Kalyani and the Kalyani Group for their commendable work in the social and educational sectors.
