Pune: A private tutor has been accused of molesting a 15-year-old female student, leading to the registration of a case by the Mundhwa Police.

The accused has been identified as Sadiq Mohammad Bidiwale, aged 38, a resident of Shravasthinagar, Ghorpadi. Sadiq runs a tuition center named S.S. Classes in the same area.

Mundhwa Police have registered a case against Sadiq under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The case was filed by a schoolgirl at the Mundhwa Police Station. Bidiwale runs a tuition center named S.S. Classes in the Shravasthinagar area of Ghorpadi, where the 15-year-old victim has been attending classes.

According to the complaint filed by the girl, Bidiwale had been making inappropriate advances towards her for the past month. On Monday, August 26th, under the guise of administering an exam, he asked her to stay back after class, during which time he engaged in obscene acts.

The distressed student informed her parents, who promptly reported the matter to the police.

Bidiwale has been charged under sections related to molestation and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Rathod under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Neelkanth Jagtap.

Earlier, a teacher in Pune's Hadapsar area had been arrested for allegedly molesting a ninth-grade student. The accused, Ganesh Kakad, reportedly harassed the girl over the course of several weeks, leading to his eventual arrest after the victim and her mother filed a complaint with the police.
