Pune: A harrowing case of sexual assault involving a minor girl has come to light in Hadapsar area. The victim, a 13-year-old girl, was allegedly sexually assaulted by her uncle and cousin, and her father also attempted to sexually abuse her.

The Hadapsar police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and have initiated a thorough investigation.

The case came to attention when the girl's mother filed a complaint at the Hadapsar police station. According to the complaint, the assaults occurred over a period stretching from July 2022 to June 2024. The family, migrants from another state, lives in a village near Hadapsar.

The complaint details that the first incident happened in July 2022, when the girl's cousin raped her and threatened her with death if she disclosed the incident.

Subsequently, in January 2024, her uncle also raped her. The situation worsened when, during the mother's absence, the girl's father attempted to assault her in June.

When the girl resisted, her father beat her up. The girl later narrated the incident to her mother, following which a complaint was registered with police.
