Pune: A shocking incident took place in Phursungi, Hadapsar, where a medical shop owner was brutally attacked after refusing to provide medicines on credit.

The incident occurred at Shivshree Medical, owned by Vaibhav Tukaram Makhare (26), around 6:45 PM on Tuesday evening. The accused, Manoj Sudam Adagle (40), a resident of the same locality, became enraged when Makhare informed him that the shop did not offer medicines on credit.

Adagle, furious with the refusal, launched an assault on Makhare, striking him on the head and hand with a vegetable-cutting knife. The attack left Makhare injured, and blood was seen flowing from his wounds. In addition to the assault, Adagle caused significant damage to the shop’s inventory.

According to the police, Makhare had repeatedly informed the accused that credit was not an option at his shop, which prompted Adagle’s violent response.
