Hadapsar: Paramour Attacks Woman’s 13-year-old Son; Arrested in Phaltan

The suspect has been identified as Sagar Surve, aged 30, from Phaltan in Satara district.

Pune: A married woman’s son was attacked with a knife by her paramour, resulting in injuries to the boy. The incident occurred on Thursday (August 1) in the Sasane Nagar area of Hadapsar, Pune.

The suspect has been identified as Sagar Surve, aged 30, from Phaltan in Satara district. The woman has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar police station against Sagar, leading to his arrest.

According to the police, Surve got acquainted with the married woman through social media two years ago.

Six months ago, the complainant woman's nephew learned about this relationship and admonished both of them. Following this, the woman refused to meet her lover.

Despite this, the suspect visited the woman’s house on July 31. When she warned him not to meet her anymore, the suspect attempted to attack her with a knife.

During the scuffle, the knife struck the woman's chin and fell to the ground. The suspect then stated that her children were obstacles in their relationship and attacked the woman’s 13-year-old son, injuring him on the neck.

The injured boy was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment. Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from Hadapsar police arrested the suspect in Phaltan.

Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Praveen Abdagire.

Ambethan in Mhalunge MIDC, a young woman identified as Prachi Vijay Mane, 21, was murdered by being stabbed in the neck and abdomen after refusing a marriage proposal driven by one-sided love.

Prachi was a resident of Ambethan, Khed, originally from Islampur, Walwa. The accused, Aviraj Ramachandra Kharat, a resident of Bahe, Taluka Walwa, was arrested.
