Pimpri: The "Statue of Hindubhushan," which will be the world's tallest statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is currently under construction in Moshi, Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The project, conceptualized by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge, is progressing rapidly under the guidance of world-renowned sculptor Ram Sutar. This statue, standing 140 feet tall with a 40-foot pedestal and a 100-foot statue, will be a monumental tribute to Sambhaji Maharaj.

The statue is being crafted in a workshop in Delhi, and parts of it have already been transported to Moshi.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is spearheading the project, and land adjacent to the Pune-Nashik Highway in sectors 5 and 8 at the Moshi International Exhibition Center has been allotted for the statue. Currently, work on the pedestal is in progress, and experts from IIT Mumbai are supervising the construction.

In addition to the statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the site will feature several other elements, including a 10-foot statue of Sarasenapati Hambirrao Mohite and 16 statues of sardars and Mavlas, each standing 10 feet tall.

The project will also include an open-air theater, bronze murals depicting significant historical events, an LED screen narrating Sambhaji Maharaj's life story, and arrangements for motion pictures, lighting, and holographic presentations.

Local BJP MLA Mahesh Landge expressed his pride in the project, stating, "It is a matter of great honor to have the opportunity to build the world's tallest statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Borhade Wadi, Moshi. This statue will serve as a constant source of inspiration for the protection of Hinduism and its culture."
