Pune: "In a relationship of cohabitation, a husband and wife should not take each other for granted. Everyone should contribute 100 per cent for a prosperous life," said senior psychiatrist Dr. Sanjot Deshpande.
The Family Court and The Pune Family Court Lawyers Association jointly organised a special event titled 'Rebuilding Relationships' at the Family Court Auditorium here.
At the time, Dr. Deshpande was speaking. The family court's chief justice Manisha Kale, justice Shyam Rukme, the association's president The court judge, including Ganesh Kawade, was present on the occasion.
"The first six months after marriage are very important. Spouses and families should understand each other during this time. For relationships to be strong, it's important to accept certain things and give time to each other," he said.
Deshpande said. He stressed the importance of pre-marital counselling in today's times. He explained that it is important for both the family members to understand what is going to change in their roles after marriage.
Five couples who deviated from their divorce decision and decided to reunite were felicitated by the dignitaries. One of the couples said, "We were heard in the family court.
A few things were explained. So, considering the son and the future, we decided to withdraw the case and come together," he said.
On this occasion, students of Bharati Vidyapeeth and Karve Institute performed a play titled 'The same story in every house'. Senior Marriage Counsellor Smita Joshi gave information about the counselling process in the family court in the introduction.
Marriage counsellor Shashank Marathe moderated the event. Counsellor Pragya Shende expressed her gratitude.
