Pune: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Madanwadi, Indapur Taluka, where a young husband took his own life following the untimely death of his wife due to dengue fever.

This tragic event has left their 7-month-old daughter, Urva, orphaned and the community in mourning.

On Friday, September 27, 20-year-old Shravani Gopal Sutar succumbed to dengue, plunging her husband, 24-year-old Gopal alias Swapnil Pradeep Sutar, into deep despair.

The couple's grief was palpable, as they had been married for a short time and were adjusting to life with their newborn.

On Sunday, September 29, Gopal was at home when he reportedly expressed feelings of boredom and mentioned that he would lie down for a while. Shortly thereafter, he was found hanging from the ceiling of a room using a nylon rope.

His brother, Santosh Sutar, alerted the Bhigwan police, who quickly arrived on the scene to investigate.

The incident has shocked the local community, with many expressing their condolences and sorrow for the young couple and their infant daughter. Gopal had operated a mobile shop in Bhigwan, and the loss of both parents has left Urva in a vulnerable position.

Local residents are rallying around Urva, offering support to ensure that she receives care and attention in the absence of her parents.

The tragic circumstances surrounding this family have sparked conversations about the need for mental health awareness and support systems for those dealing with grief and loss in the community.
