Pune: RTI activist and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leader Vijay Kumbhar has claimed that the Audi car used by IAS officer Puja Khedkar belongs to Thermoverita Engineering Pvt Ltd, a company with notable ties to Puja's family.
Records show that a former director of Thermoverita Engineering was also a director with Puja's mother, Manorama Khedkar, in Diligence Infra Projects Pvt Ltd. Additionally, Puja Khedkar herself is a past director of Diligence Infra Projects, Kumbhar has tweeted on social media platform X.
This discovery has raised questions about the connections between these entities and the use of the car by the IAS officer. The implications of this relationship are currently under scrutiny.
On Thursday (July 11), Chatuhshrungi Traffic Police have issued a notice to probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar asking her to handover her private Audi car for document scrutiny and further investigations into the illegal use of red and orange beacon.
The notice was issued after Puja's mother Manorama threatened to send police and mediapersons to jail, who had been at the gate of Khedkar residence in National Housing Society in Aundh.
The Audi car bearing registration number MH12 AR 7000 has traffic violations fine of thousands of rupees pending. Chatuhshrungi Traffic Division officials have notified the Khedkar family to present the vehicle and cooperate in investigations.
Puja Khedkar, who passed the UPSC exam and made excessive demands during her training period at the Pune District Collector's office, is currently a hot topic nationwide. Both the Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy and even the Prime Minister's Office have taken note of her behavior.
Puja allegedly used her private car with beacons installed on its roof and 'Government of Maharashtra' written on front and rear side of the vehicle.
