India International EV Show 2024 Set for Chennai

Pune: The 5th edition of the India International EV Show (IIEV) 2024 is set to take place from September 6th to 8th at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam.

This year’s IIEV Show will feature over 100 exhibitors and brands from more than five countries, highlighting the latest innovations in electric vehicles, battery technologies, and charging infrastructure.

With over 12,000 visitors expected, the event will serve as a landmark occasion in the EV industry, featuring the launch of new products and showcasing more than 5,000 cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

The event is organized by Futurex Group in collaboration with the Global Automotive Research Centre, International Federation of Electric Vehicle Association (IFEVA), and the Society for Smart E-Mobility (SSEM), with support from Facilitating MSMEs of Tamil Nadu (FaMe TN), Tamil Nadu EV Task Force, National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV), Ease of Doing Business, and the Charge Point Operators Society of India (CPOS).

The Indian electric vehicle market is experiencing rapid growth, with sales surpassing 1.7 million units in the fiscal year 2024. According to JMK Research & Analytics, EV sales in India are projected to grow by 66% in 2024, with market share in the passenger car segment expected to double.

On September 8th, National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) will host a conference and press meet focusing on the transformation of highways into E-Highways.

To commemorate World EV Day on September 9th, the event will also include a TECH TRIAL RUN, an EV rally from Chennai to Trichy (332 KM). The Tech Trial Run III will provide valuable insights into the techno-commercial aspects of electric SUVs and buses.
