Many of the government's decisions, such as reducing the quota for sugar exports, are not acceptable, Sharad Pawar said.

Baramati: "Apart from providing work on hand through job creation, we have decided to change the face of Baramati by formulating a proper policy on industrial and agriculture.

I'm going to work on it in the coming days. There are still many industries to be decentralised in different parts of Pune district," Sharad Pawar said.

He was speaking at a business seminar organised by The Baramati Traders Federation and The Baramati Merchants Association on Tuesday. MPs Supriya Sule, Yugendra Pawar, Sushil Somani, Sambhaji Kirve, Narendra Gujrathi, Jawahar Wagholikar, Sadashiv Satav, S. K. Patil and Others. N. Jagtap, Sandeep Gujar, Satyavrat Kale, Vanita Bankar, Purnima Taware, Aarti Shendge and others were present on the occasion.

Sharad Pawar said, "After Mumbai, I brought industries to Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune when I was the head of the state. Since then, the landscape of the area has changed through MIDC in various parts of the district. Got work on hand. As industry grew, business activity increased. The market gained momentum as purchasing power increased."

Supriya Sule said, "We will definitely raise the issues related to GST in Parliament. We will discuss this in detail with traders in Baramati. The state finance minister did not raise the issues of the state in the GST Council. The future finance minister will raise these issues for sure, while we will raise them through the finance minister of another state."

Sharad Pawar said...
- No one other than the Finance Minister can have an opinion in the GST Council. The state finance minister was absent from these meetings. Therefore, the state's position was not presented.
- Many of the government's decisions, such as reducing the quota for sugar exports, are not acceptable. There is a fear that reducing the quota will lead to excess sugar and costs. The decision to reduce the quota is not acceptable. We will raise this issue in Parliament.
- When I was the head of the state, the state was number one in the country in terms of industrial progress. Then there was competition between Gujarat and Maharashtra. Today, projects like Airbus Vedanta pass through the state, which is not right.
" I am not anti-Gujarat, he is also our brother. Don't take you from our plate, we don't touch the grass on your plate, but we hope there are no misunderstandings in the state.

Sharad Pawar said in the seminar that the proposed Bharat Forge factory in Baramati will be done due to Prataprao Pawar, Chairman of 'Sakal'.

"Prataprao Pawar was a director at Bharat Forge for the last 33 years. In the last meeting while resigning as director, he had suggested that one of Bharat Forge's two planned factories in India should be set up in Baramati. Baba Kalyani immediately agreed.

However, the factory could not find a place in Baramati MIDC later. Prataprao Pawar narrated the problem to Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar found a way out. But the factory came to Baramati only because of Prataprao Pawar."
