Pune: The foundation for a new IT park in Charholi Budruk has been laid, marking a significant step towards technological and economic growth in the region.
According to the new IT policy of the state government, this IT park, spanning 3 million square feet, will be developed through Pride World City, creating around 50,000 job opportunities.
This IT park is the first to be developed in the ‘Chikhali-Moshi-Charholi Residential Corridor.’ The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge, with notable figures from the construction industry, including CREDAI chief officer Arvind Jain, in attendance.
The initiative, which began with a resolution in October 2023, aims to add another IT park to Pimpri-Chinchwad, known for its industrial city, auto hub, and IT hub. Meetings with CREDAI and the municipal administration led to the successful commencement of this project.
MLA Landge highlighted the progress made in the included villages since the BJP came to power in the municipal corporation in 2017, emphasizing the rapid development of infrastructure and the construction sector.
MLA Mahesh Landge expressed satisfaction and pride that, under the new IT policy, an IT park is being developed in Charholi Budruk. In October 2023, a detailed meeting took place between Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh and CREDAI members, including construction entrepreneur Arvind Jain, to ensure the effective implementation of the state's new IT-2023 policy in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The new IT and IT-enabled services policy will lead to significant investment and job creation in the state, addressing the development backlog of the included villages.
