ITI Admissions: Deadline Extended, Merit List to be Published on October 23

Neelam Karale

Pune: The deadline for online applications for admission to government and private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Maharashtra has been extended until Wednesday, 23rd October.

The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) announced the extension to accommodate students who missed the previous deadline and to ensure their participation in the upcoming counseling round.

The admissions for the August 2024 session, conducted under the Craftsman Scheme, are managed through a centralized online process.

The extension is particularly beneficial for students who recently passed the supplementary exams held by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. These students can now also apply for ITI admissions.

The DVET will publish a combined merit list of eligible students and new applicants on the evening of 23rd October at 10 p.m. via the online portal, and students will be notified through SMS. Importantly, once admitted, students will not be allowed to cancel their admission under any circumstances.

Students already enrolled in any course during the August 2024 session will not be eligible to reapply, according to DVET Director Satish Suryavanshi.

Selected students must confirm their admission at the respective institutes on the day of the counseling round after verifying their original documents. Failure to do so will result in their seat being considered vacant and open for allocation the next day.

Any remaining seats at private ITIs after the institute-level admission rounds will also be made available during the counseling phase.

Key Dates for ITI Admissions:

  • Final date for new online applications and confirmations: 23rd October, 5 p.m.

  • Combined merit list publication and SMS notification: 23rd October, 10 p.m.

  • Counseling round at ITIs, document verification, and seat allocation: 24th to 30th October.

For detailed information, students can visit the official websites https://admission.dvet.gov.in or https://www.dvet.gov.in.
