Pune: The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has postponed its hearing on the issue of returning Porsche car and the minor's passport to the Agarwal family, accused in the Kalyani Nagar accident case involving the death of two software engineers.

The minor has been granted bail, but his parents and a doctor from Sassoon Hospital, who are also implicated in the case, remain in judicial custody.

Pune police have filed a petition with the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) to try a minor as an adult. The minor, who was allegedly driving a luxury car at high speed after consuming alcohol at a pub, is accused of causing the deaths of two people. The police have submitted the required investigation report on time, which is crucial for the case to proceed.

Meanwhile, the minor's family, the Agarwals, have petitioned the JJB for the return of the vehicle involved in the accident and the minor’s passport. The hearing for these petitions, initially set for August 28, has been postponed to September 26.

If the minor is to be tried as an adult, the police are required to submit their investigation report (charge sheet) within 30 days from the time the minor was presented before the JJB. The police have submitted this report within the required time frame.

The minor has been granted bail in the accident case, while his parents and a doctor from Sassoon Hospital remain in judicial custody. The Agarwal family’s petition for the return of the car and the minor's passport was initially scheduled for a hearing on August 28 but has been postponed.
