K. S. Chitra and Sadhana Sargam to be Awarded 'Kala Gaurav Puraskar'

The award is given annually to a veteran artist in the music industry. This is the 15th year of the award.

Pune: The 'Ram Kadam Kalagaurav Puraskar', given by Sharad Krida and Cultural Foundation, Pune, will be given to playback singer K. S. Chitra and Sadhana Sargam.

Laxmikant Khabia, founder-president of the foundation, made the announcement.

The award is given annually to a veteran artist in the music industry. This is the 15th year of the award. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a shawl, a shawl and a memento.

It was announced at last year's awards ceremony that women singers will be given awards this year. As such, for the award this year, K. S. Chitra and Sadhana Sargam were selected. Khabia said the award ceremony will be held in Pune soon.
