Kalyaninagar Nivedita Pret & Couture Theft Case Solved, 3 Arrested

Pune Police have successfully solved a high-profile theft involving expensive designer shirts stolen from Nivedita Saboo's boutique in Kalyaninagar.

The police team, tracing the suspects through extensive CCTV footage, apprehended three individuals from Sankalp City in Ranjangaon. The stolen items, including cash, clothing, and a motorcycle worth ₹1.16 lakh, have been recovered.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Vivek alias Gurudev Maniram Rajput (30), Abhisheksingh alias Pradip Pappusingh (25), and Amitsingh Vijaysingh (31), all residents of Sankalp City, Manavi Apartment, Ranjangaon, originally from Baberu, Banda district, Uttar Pradesh.

The police recovered cash, two shirts, a ladies' dress, and a motorcycle, amounting to a total of ₹1.16 lakh, stolen from the boutique. All three are laborers working in the centering (construction) industry.

The boutique, owned by Nivedita Saboo, is located in Samrat Society, Kalyaninagar. The thieves had broken the window of this boutique, stealing cash and six garments, valued at ₹1.99 lakh.

A police team from Crime Branch Unit 4, including Sub-Inspector Vaibhav Magdum, Constable Harish More, and Police Officers Devidas Wandhare, Sushant Bhosale, and Prashant Kamble from Yerawada Police Station, inspected the CCTV footage from the area.

They identified some suspects and traced them to Ranjangaon, particularly Sankalp City on Ganegaon Road. Local residents recognized the suspects from the footage, confirming that they were living in a rented apartment in Manavi Apartment, Sankalp City.

The police then set a watch at Ranjangaon, where they arrested the three individuals when they returned to the apartment on a motorcycle on the evening of Thursday, August 15.

Inspector Ajay Waghmare stated that the police team identified the suspects based on CCTV footage and the motorcycle seen in the footage. The local residents helped the police locate the suspects at Manavi Apartment.

This operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Additional Police Commissioner Ranjankumar Sharma, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingale, Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Govekar, and Senior Inspector Ajay Waghmare.

The team included Sub-Inspectors Jaydeep Patil, Vaibhav Magdum, Swapnil Patil, and Police Officers Harish More, Pravin Bhalchim, Sanjay Avari, Vishal Gade, Eknath Joshi, Nagesingh Kunwar, Vinod Mahajan, Jahangir Pathan, Vaibhav Ranpise, Rahul Pardeshi, Devidas Wandhare, Vishal Ithape, Manoj Sangle, Sushant Bhosale, and Prashant Kamble.
