Pune: Karan Rajendra Mishra, the young man seen consuming drugs in a viral video from a party at the Liquid Leisure Lounge (L3) bar on Ferguson Road, has been granted bail by Sessions Judge J.G. Dorle.

After the video of him consuming drugs went viral, the Shivajinagar police arrested Karan Mishra. During interrogation, he confessed to consuming drugs at the party.

Following further investigation, drug suppliers Abhishek Sonawane, Omkar Sakat, and Nigerian national Idoko Sunday were also arrested by the police. So far, the police have arrested a total of 15 people in connection with this case.

Karan Mishra, through his lawyer Adv. Ameya Balkawade, applied for bail in the Sessions Court. No drugs were seized from Mishra, and he has no prior criminal record.

He is an engineer at a private company. Adv. Ameya Balkawade presented the case of Aryan Shah Rukh Khan from the Mumbai High Court as a reference in his argument.

Accepting this argument, Sessions Judge Dorle granted bail to Karan Mishra under certain conditions. Advocates Ameya Balkawade, Mayur Marathe, Rishikesh Kadu, Rohit Gujar, and Suraj Shinde represented the accused.

A group named 'Pune Vibes' was created on social media for the attendees of the L3 Bar party. A drug supplier from Pune had allegedly provided mephedrone to young individuals seen in the party video.

The L3 Pub video had gone viral sparking an uproar and leading Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar to order a crackdown on the pub. Authorities charged and arrested the bar's owner, operators, and managers.

Two night-patrol officers and Police Inspector (Crime) Anil Mane and Assistant Police Inspector Dinesh Patil from Shivajinagar Police Station were also suspended. The pub was then sealed by the police.
