Kirtankar Chaitanya Maharaj Wadekar Arrested for Illegal Excavation

Pune: Kirtankar (devotional singer) and social media influencer Chaitanya Maharaj Wadekar has been arrested by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police for the illegal excavation of a road near his residence.

Along with his two brothers, Amol Sayaji Wadekar and Pramod Sayaji Wadekar, and a relative, Rishikesh Shashikant Suryavanshi, Chaitanya Maharaj allegedly used an excavator to dig up a road leading to a nearby company. The incident has caused considerable local disturbance.

The police reports reveal that Chaitanya Maharaj Wadekar resides in the Mhalunge area. The road in question is a key route leading to a company near Wadekar’s residence in the Mhalunge area. The dispute between Wadekar and the company had been ongoing, culminating in the road being illegally excavated late Wednesday night. His brothers and another relative were also involved, as mentioned in the complaint.

According to the complaint lodged by Ajit Patil, the company’s manager, the group also removed sheets from the compound of the company.

Following the complaint, police acted swiftly and arrested the four individuals, including Chaitanya Wadekar, who was taken into custody around midnight. A full investigation is currently underway.

Chaitanya Maharaj Wadekar is not only a well-known kirtankar but also a highly active figure on social media platforms, where he regularly posts reels that have garnered him millions of followers. His sudden arrest has left his fan base shocked, with many expressing disbelief over the incident.
