Pune: A woman residing in a society in Kondhwa has lodged a police complaint against two men, Prahlad and Santosh, accusing them of repeated harassment and inappropriate behavior.

The Kondhwa police have registered a case based on her account of incidents stretching from March 2023 to September 30, 2024, which reportedly began with Santosh's repeated attempts to engage in conversation, escalating into more intrusive and distressing actions.

According to the police, the complainant and the accused live in the same residential society. Prahlad reportedly disliked the complainant living there and would pick arguments with her on various occasions.

Santosh, who had initially tried to initiate conversations, began harassing her after she ignored him, often following her secretly and installing a camera aimed at her parking area, which he monitors on his mobile phone.

The complainant detailed that Santosh would frequently sit on her two-wheeler in the parking area wearing only undergarments as she left for work, using obscene gestures to distress her further.

Unable to endure the ongoing harassment, she finally approached the police to take action. Assistant Police Inspector Sukeshini Jadhav is currently leading the investigation.

Earlier in a separate incident reported in September, Lonikand police had registered a case against a resident for allegedly molesting women in the society. The complaint was lodged against Harsh Kapoor, a resident of Konark Exotica located on the Wagholi-Kesnand Road.

The incident occurred on September 17, during an immersion procession organized by the residents of the society. Women participated in the festivities by playing drums.

It was during this time that Kapoor allegedly attempted to make inappropriate advances towards them. One of the women involved in the procession reported the incident to another female resident of the society, prompting further action.
