Koregaon Park: High School Administrator Accused of Harassing Female Employee

Pune: A shocking case of harassment has emerged from a technical high school in Pune's Koregaon Park area, where a senior administrator allegedly demanded sexual favors from a female employee.

The accused, identified as Prashant Pushti (age 52), is now facing legal action after a formal complaint was lodged by the victim.

The 51-year-old complainant, a staff member at the high school, approached the Koregaon Park Police Station, where she reported that Pushti had made inappropriate remarks and requested sexual favors.

According to the complaint, the administrator not only harassed her but also threatened to terminate her employment if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Based on the woman's statement, a case has been registered against Prashant Pushti under charges of harassment and intimidation.

The alleged incident has sparked concern within the school community, as it highlights the misuse of authority and the vulnerability of female employees in educational institutions. Senior Police Inspector Runal Mulla visited the school to assess the situation following the complaint.

In another case, Chandrakant Lad (55), a senior health inspector from Pune Municipal Corporation’s Sinhagad Road Ward Office has been accused of harassment after allegedly making inappropriate advances toward a female employee.

The accused allegedly invited the woman to a closed cabin for a personal conversation under the pretext of offering job-related favors. According to the complaint, Lad approached the woman while she was in the health department section of the regional office on October 1 (Tuesday) morning.

Lad allegedly told her, "I like you a lot, come with me to a closed cabin alone, and let's talk privately."
