Pune: Additional Commissioner of Police (Additional CP) Manoj Patil has sanctioned a proposal under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against eight members of the Enjoy Group.

These individuals are implicated in a plot to murder those responsible for the 2013 killing of Kunal Shankar Pol at Swargate.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Amit Mashku Avchare (27), Sumit Uttreshwar Jadhav (26), Latekesh Gautam Pol (22), Shubham alias Mentor Anil Jagtap (27), Omkar alias Bhaiyya Ashok Jadhav (24),

Ajay alias Sagar Balakrishna Hegde (27), and Basarya alias Basavaraj Swami (26). They have been charged under MCOCA due to their organized criminal activities.

The case originated on August 29 when the complainant was traveling from Saswad to Pune. During this journey, the accused assaulted him,

allegedly in retaliation for an old dispute. Following the attack, the Lonikand police acted swiftly to apprehend the suspects, revealing a pattern of organized criminal behavior.

The proposal for MCOCA charges was prepared under the supervision of senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad from the Lonikand police station. Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse and his team,

including police naik Prashant Kapure and constables Sagar Kadu, Shubham Satav, and Sudhir Shivale, worked diligently to compile the case.

It was subsequently presented to Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil through Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Himmat Jadhav, who endorsed the charges after careful review. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Pranjali Sonawane is currently overseeing the investigation.
