Latur Man Caught for Pune Burglaries, Goods Worth ₹3.85 Lakh Recovered

The accused, Shekhar Sambhaji Jadhav (25), was apprehended from his native village of Mogha in Latur district.

Pune: In a significant breakthrough, Vishrantwadi police have arrested a thief from Latur who was involved in multiple house burglaries in Pune.

The accused, Shekhar Sambhaji Jadhav (25), was apprehended from his native village of Mogha in Latur district. During the investigation, police recovered stolen goods worth ₹3,85,950, linked to four different burglary cases.

The arrest was made after police officers Sanjay Badre, Amjad Sheikh, Vaman Sawant, and Kishor Bhusare received information about Jadhav's whereabouts. Acting swiftly, a police team was dispatched to Latur, where Jadhav was captured.

Upon interrogation, Jadhav admitted to committing the burglaries with the help of a minor accomplice. Stolen items including a mobile phone, power bank, and car charger, valued at ₹1,43,450, were seized from him.

Further investigation revealed that Jadhav was also involved in a theft case at Hadapsar police station, where he stole cash, and two motorcycle thefts from Chandannagar and Bhosari.

In total, stolen goods worth ₹3,85,950 were recovered, leading to the resolution of four cases registered at Mundhwa, Chandannagar, Bhosari, and Hadapsar police stations.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuja Deshmane,

Senior Police Inspector Kanchan Jadhav, and Crime Inspector Shankar Salunkhe. Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathod and a team of officers played a crucial role in the investigation.
