Pune: OBC leader Laxman Hake was accused by Maratha activists of public intoxication and creating a disturbance.

Laxman Hake was taken to the Sassoon General Hospital after protesters demanded a medical examination to determine whether he had consumed alcohol. Preliminary results from the hospital indicated that Hake had not consumed alcohol, as doctors found no evidence of intoxication.

Despite this initial finding, medical authorities have sent Hake's blood samples for further analysis to ensure complete accuracy.

The final report is expected within the next couple of days, which will conclusively determine whether Hake had consumed alcohol at the time of the incident.

The accusation against Hake is the latest development in the ongoing confrontations between Maratha and OBC groups, which have become increasingly frequent in the wake of the contentious Maratha reservation issue.

The incident involving Laxman Hake occurred late Monday (September 30) night when Maratha youths alleged that Hake was publicly intoxicated and engaged in disruptive behavior.

The altercation took place in the Katraj-Kondhwa area, and according to reports, the Maratha protesters confronted Hake and demanded accountability.

They proceeded to take him to the Kondhwa police station, where a group of Maratha activists demanded that Hake undergo a medical test to confirm whether he had consumed alcohol.

The confrontation has attracted significant attention due to a viral video showing the heated exchange between Hake and the Maratha activists.

The video, which has been circulating widely on social media, captures the moment when Hake was taken to the police station amid the protesters’ accusations.

In response to the growing tensions, the police ensured that a medical examination was conducted, following standard procedures.
