Pune: A severe accident occurred near Science Park in Pimpri Chinchwad, involving a Podar International School bus and a luxury car. Two students on the school bus were injured in the accident.

The collision, which happened around 12:30 PM, was a head-on crash. According to the Pimpri police, the school bus was traveling in the BRT lane when a luxury car, speeding, collided head-on with it. The impact resulted in injuries to two students on the bus.

The injured students were immediately taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment. Pimpri police reported that the Podar International School bus was carrying fifteen students at the time of the accident.

The students were significantly shaken and scared by the incident. Police quickly arrived at the scene and began rescue operations.

Pimpri police have launched an investigation into the accident. Both the car driver and the bus driver are being questioned. Authorities are trying to determine the exact cause of the accident. The police have urged the public to control the speed of their vehicles to prevent such accidents.

Earlier this month, a major disaster was averted when a school bus carrying over 50 students lost control, breaking through the guardrail of the Indrayani River. Fortunately, the bus did not plunge into the river.

The school bus was transporting students on the Alandi-Markal Road. As it approached the Indrayani Bridge, the driver lost control, and the bus crashed into the river's guardrail. Part of the bus broke through the barrier, hanging precariously over the river.

Local residents quickly rushed to the scene and smashed the bus windows to rescue the students. Thanks to their prompt actions, a major tragedy was avoided. If the bus had fallen into the river, it could have resulted in significant loss of life. Preliminary information indicates that the bus was carrying over 50 students.
