Pune: Madhuri Misal, the incumbent MLA from the Parvati Assembly constituency, filed her nomination today amidst a powerful display of support.
The event began with Misal offering prayers at the Ganpati temple in Sarasbaug and the Mahalakshmi temple.
During the procession, she paid respects at several memorials, including those of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Market Yard, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Padmavati, Annabhau Sathe, Swatantryaveer Savarkar, Balasaheb Thackeray, and Ahilyadevi Holkar, underscoring her reverence for these prominent figures.
The filing was marked by the presence of Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, BJP State General Secretary Rajesh Pandey, former MP Pradeep Rawat, and election chief Deepak Misal, along with prominent leaders Ganesh Bidkar, Subhash Jagtap, Shrikant Pujari, Karan Misal, Santosh Nangare, Prashant Divekar, and Sudhir Kurunkar. Misal submitted her nomination to Election Officer Manoj Khairnar.
Speaking on the occasion, Murlidhar Mohol said, “Thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, we’ve witnessed significant development work.
Madhuri Misal has ensured the swift progress of development projects in this constituency, reached schemes to beneficiaries, and her public outreach is excellent. This will lead to her victory by a wide margin.”
Misal expressed her gratitude, saying, “For the fourth consecutive term, the BJP leadership has placed its trust in me. I am confident that the development work of the past fifteen years and the efforts to implement government schemes for all will ensure another victory with a large majority.”
