Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad Pays Tribute to Prof. Dr. Veena Dev

Mrinal Dev, Madhura Dev, Bharat Sasane, Prof. Milind Joshi, Sunitaraje Pawar, Vinod Kulkarni were present.

Pune: "Prof. Dr. Veena Dev was a prolific, student-friendly professor and an excellent writer. He enriched the culture of reading by creating a love of literature through reading. In his passing away, we have lost a sattvik and loving personality who was imbued with literary love," the dignitaries said in a statement.

On behalf of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, a condolence meeting was organised to pay homage to Veena Dev.

Dev's daughter and actress Mrinal Dev, Madhura Dev, former president Bharat Sasane, working president of the council Prof. Milind Joshi, Chief Executive Sunitaraje Pawar, Treasurer Vinod Kulkarni were present.

Senior Congress leader Ulhas Pawar, senior writer Neelima Gundi, Suryakant Pathak, writer Baban Minde, Shyam Bhurke, journalist Narayan Dhebe, Subhash Inamdar, Rajan Lakhe, V. K. Patil and others. Vi. Da. Pingale, Nilesh Deshpande, Sanjay Nahar, Prakash Bhonde revealed various aspects of Dev's personality.

Daughter Madhura Dev said, "My mother nurtured literature from a young age. She developed a passion for reading and literature.'

Daughter Mrinal Dev said, "The goal of his mother's life was to spread senior writer Go. Ni. Dandekar's literature. She added and preserved countless people."
