Maharashtra Scholarship Exams for 5th and 8th Grade Scheduled for February 9

Scholarship exams for the 5th and 8th grades are designed to test students' proficiency in languages, mathematics, and cognitive skills.

Pune: The Maharashtra State Examination Council has released the schedule for the upcoming 5th and 8th-grade scholarship examinations, set to take place on February 9 across the state.

These exams are crucial for students aiming to secure scholarships that provide financial support during their academic journey. The deadline for students to apply with a regular fee is November 30.

According to Anuradha Oak, Commissioner of the State Examination Council, the scholarship exams for the 5th and 8th grades are designed to test students' proficiency in languages, mathematics, and cognitive skills.

The Pre-Upper Primary Scholarship Exam for 5th-grade students offers a scholarship amount of ₹5,000, while the Pre-Secondary Scholarship Exam for 8th-grade students awards ₹7,000.

The scholarship exam will be conducted in two sessions:

  • The first session, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, will cover 50 marks for the first language and 100 marks for mathematics.

  • The second session, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, will focus on 50 marks for the third language and 100 marks for the intelligence test.

For students unable to meet the November 30 deadline, applications can still be submitted with a late fee between December 1 and December 15.

An additional late fee period is open from December 16 to December 23, with a special late fee option extending until December 31. No applications will be accepted after this final date.

The exam fee structure includes an entrance fee of ₹50 and an exam fee of ₹150.
