Pune: The Maharashtra Education Department has granted temporary promotions to ten officers currently serving as Deputy Directors. These promotions elevate them to the positions of Joint Director and equivalent roles, following the government-approved selection list.

As per the recent government resolution, the following appointments have been made: Sudhakar Telang as Chairman of the Latur Divisional Board, Dr. Subhash Borse as Chairman of the Nashik Divisional Board,

Rajesh Kshirsagar as Chairman of the Kolhapur Divisional Board, and Archana Kulkarni as Joint Director at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).

Other promoted officers include Rajendra Ahire as Chairman of the Mumbai Divisional Board, Shriram Panzhade as Joint Director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education,

Anil Sable as Chairman of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Divisional Board, Ramakant Kathmore as Joint Director of the Directorate of Primary Education, and Shivaling Patve as Chairman of the Nagpur Divisional Board. The order for Sandeep Patve’s posting will be issued separately.

The promotions have been implemented in accordance with government guidelines, which allow for the temporary filling of all vacant positions under the promotion quota.

This is pending the final decision of a special leave petition currently before the Supreme Court. Since these promotions are temporary, they do not confer any rights to regularization or seniority for the promoted officers. The officers have been instructed to assume their new roles within thirty days.
