Maharashtra to Host 'Startup Week' to Boost Innovative Startups

24 winning startups receive work orders worth ₹15 lakhs each to implement their products or services on a pilot basis in government departments.

Pune: The Maharashtra State Innovation Society, under the state's Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Department, is set to host the 'Maharashtra Startup Week' to promote innovative startups.

Interested startups are encouraged to apply by visiting 'https://www.msins.in' by August 1, 2024, according to State Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mangal Prabhat Lodha.

While in Pune for the Kaushalya Vikas Dindi (Skill Development Dindi), Minister Lodha shared this information, stating, "The Maharashtra Startup Week initiative offers startups an opportunity to collaborate with the government and introduce innovation into the administration.

The 24 winning startups will receive work orders worth up to ₹15 lakhs each to implement their products or services on a pilot basis across various government departments.

Startups working in agriculture, education and skills, governance technology, health, mobility, advanced technology, smart infrastructure, and sustainable sectors (clean energy, waste management, water management) are eligible to apply."

Additionally, a national-level grand conference focusing on startups will soon be held in the state. This conference aims to foster collaboration between the startup ecosystem and investors, providing startups with valuable investment opportunities, Minister Lodha expressed.

To achieve the goals of the state's innovative startup policy, the Maharashtra State Innovation Society conducts various schemes, initiatives, and programs related to the startup and innovation sector for all stakeholders in the state.
