Pune: With novel coronavirus flattening its curve, many tourist destinations around Maharashtra is witnessing crowd. The spots such as forts, beaches, religious places are jam-packed during weekends. The travel industry was hit badly due to COVID-19 suffered huge losses. Now with things shaping back to normalcy, many tourists are planning their trips or short-picnics on a huge number.

In a bid to revive the economy of the travel sector, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) will soon come up with a plan to offer working professionals with a special service: Work-From-Nature. The concept is a change of setting by allowing working professionals to work remotely from the picturesque MTDC locations.

Under their new ‘Work-From-Nature’ drive, the MTDC will provide unlimited WiFi at their select properties at a minimal cost.

“Tourist spots are in big demand for a destination wedding, pre-wedding photo-shoot. The resorts of MTDC are well-built at almost all beaches, hill-stations, historical landmarks around Maharashtra. In a recent move, we have initiated the work-from nature campaign on a trial basis,” Deepak Harne, Regional Manager (Pune) of MTDC, said.

The MTDC recently has also renovated the resort at Pune’s pride Sinhagad Fort for tourists. It will reopen for tourists from next month. The resort with 25-bed facility has five private rooms and two dormitories. The resort will be helpful for families and trekkers.
