Mansukh Hiren death case: Mumbai's top cop Sachin Vaze transferred from Crime Branch

API Sachin Vaze linked with Mansukh Hiren death case will be transferred from Crime Branch Mumbai, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said.

Mumbai: Assistant Police Inspector (API) Sachin Vaze will be transferred from Crime Branch Mumbai, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Wednesday said.

Home Minister Deshmukh said, “API Sachin Vaze will be transferred from the Crime Branch. The leaders of the Opposition demanded to arrest the police officer from the investigation. The probe of death case of Mansukh Hiren is underway and culprits will be punished.”

BJP leader and former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday demanded the arrest of Sachin Vaze in connection with the Mukesh Ambani bomb threat case.

Addressing the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday, Leader of Oppositon Devendra Fadnavis claimed that the explosive-laden van that was found outside Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia last month was in possession of API Sachin Vaze for four months before to the incident.

The car's owner Mansukh Hiren was later found dead. He also claimed that Mansukh Hiren's wife suspects that Sachin Vaze killed her husband.

Reading out a statement from Hiren's wife, Fadnavis stated that Vaze had advised Hiren to get himself arrested and that he would get him out on bail safely. However, his wife advised him against it and Hiren asked legal help for anticipatory bail, Fadnavis demanded, adding that the wife suspects that Vaze killed Hiren and that Vaze should be nabbed.

Informing about the death case of Mohan Delkar, seven-time MLA of Dadra Nagar Haveli, Home Minister Deshmukh said, “Abhinav Delkar (son of Mohan Delkar) has filed the complaint at Marine Drive Police Station in Mumbai and the case has been filed against Praful K Patel, the Administrator of the UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.” Earlier, Maharashtra’s Home Minister on Tuesday declared that the government will form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the Mohan Delkar death case.
