New Year’s Eve: Heading to Mahableshwar, Panchgani for a party? Restaurants to shut after 11

Visiting Mahableshwar? Keep in mind that the New Year celebrations will not be allowed after 10 pm.

Mahableshwar: With seven-hour night curfew in place across around the urban areas till January 6, many Puneties have already made their plans and bookings at various tourist spots near the district for the New Year celebrations.

Every year, revellers from the city throng to Mahableshwar, Panchgani to welcome the New Year on December 31. This year too many people have planned their visit to the party hotspot which is 120 km from the city.

But this year, people visiting Mahableshwar must keep in mind that the New Year celebrations will not be allowed after 10 pm. Strict action will be taken against those who will flout the rules in the area, said Shekhar Singh, Collector of Satara. The district administration has decided to suspend all-night parties, orchestras after 10 pm in Panchgani and Mahableshwar.

The Collector of Satara has also stated that restaurants, dhabas, cafes within Mahableshwar, Panchgani will be shut after 11 pm. While those restaurants and dhabas on national highways are been excluded. Those violating the protocols will face the stringent action, stated the administration.

Recently, a survey conducted by travel booking platform Ibibo suggested that 60 per cent people who are willing to travel during the winter holiday season are planning for vacation in the hills. Now if you are travelling to Mahableshwar, dine in before 11 pm on December 31!
