A woman based in Aurangabad city in Maharashtra, who has to travel to a place for work every day, has filed a police complaint against a pothole-ridden road. Yes, you read it right!

She said that the road is causing her "mental, physical and financial harassment". A senior police official told PTI that they are looking into the woman's grievance and will approach the authorities concerned in this connection!

The woman who goes by name, Sandhya Gholve, hails from Aurangabad. She has to travel every day to her workplace in Phulambri tehsil, which is around 30 km from her place. The road stretch is part of the Aurangabad-Ajanta highway, which is currently experiencing expansion.

Talking to mediapersons on Sunday, she said, "The potholes on this road are causing mental, physical and financial harassment to me. But, the police have not acted on it till now." In her complaint, she said that she was expecting a development in the road condition but it is rather deteriorating day-by-day. "Hence, action should be taken against the Aurangabad-Phulambri road. Many people like me are facing this issue, and we will also demand justice in court," she added.

Recently, some foreign tourists had also expressed the problems they faced in reaching the world heritage sites such as Ajanta and Ellora caves amid the bad road condition. Gholve has filed a police complaint over the problems being faced by travellers on this stretch and demanded that the police should take action against the 'road'.
