Mumbai: For the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown was imposed in March 2020, Mumbai’s lifeline allowed all members of the general public to board on local trains from Monday.
Now an image where a passenger bowed down at the station and worshipped a local train before boarding it is making rounds of social media from past two days. According to the caption of the post, the man boarded the local train in Mumbai after 11 months as the suburban train services in the city resumed for the general public on Monday.
The caption of the post read: “A click that touched my heart, a commuter worshipping Mumbai Local before boarding after 11 months.”
The social media is pleased after seeing an image of a man worshipping the local. Even Anand Mahindra retweeted the image and posted his comment on social media.
The picture of the man has gone viral with over 28,000 likes and around 3,056 retweets.
After a gap of about 10 months, the state government allowed all members of the general public to board local trains in Mumbai from Monday for limited hours. People are currently permitted to travel in the local trains from the time of the start of facilities for the day till 7 am, from 12 noon to 4 pm and from 9 pm till the end of services for the day.
