Pimpri: A young man’s attempt to stop an argument between two individuals nearly cost him his life when three men viciously attacked him with a sickle in retaliation.

The incident, which took place late Monday night near Lal Bahadur Shastri Udyan, Pimpri, has left the victim with serious injuries, including partial hearing loss.

The victim, Yasir Alam Ansari (26), a resident of Juna Vaibhav Nagar in Pimpri, filed a complaint at the Pimpri Police Station. Based on his statement, police have registered a case of attempted murder against Jafar Siddiqui of Sanjay Gandhi Nagar and two of his associates, who are currently being sought by law enforcement.

The violent attack followed a confrontation between Jafar's brother and another man, Shakir, which escalated into a verbal argument. Ansari, attempting to defuse the situation, stepped in to break up the fight. His actions, however, infuriated Jafar and his accomplices, who immediately turned their aggression towards Ansari.

The situation quickly spiraled out of control when Jafar allegedly pulled out a sickle and attacked Ansari, landing blows beneath his chest and on his abdomen.

Meanwhile, Jafar’s accomplices joined in, beating Ansari with their fists and feet, causing an injury to his right ear that resulted in partial hearing loss.

Police responded to the incident, and Ansari was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police Sub-Inspector Deshmukh, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that they are actively searching for the suspects.

"We are pursuing all leads and will ensure that those responsible are brought to justice," Deshmukh said.
