Pune: In preparation for the election, leaders from both Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi alliances are conducting public meetings and rallies in various constituencies to take stock of the political mood.

The state is likely to witness a head-on clash between the Mahayuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi in what promises to be an intense election battle. As the political temperature rises, accusations and counter-accusations are flying between the ruling coalition and the opposition.

In the midst of this political activity, multiple candidates from various constituencies have expressed their interest in contesting the elections, sparking tensions within parties.

During a recent public rally in Maval, Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party MLA Sunil Shelke issued a stern warning to both aspiring candidates and opposition members, cautioning them against pressuring or intimidating the local electorate.

Shelke's fiery speech attracted immediate attention. "Do not try to impose your will on the people of Maval. If anyone attempts to bully or intimidate them, I will not tolerate such injustice. I am ready to face any challenge, but I will not allow anyone to harass my people or my colleagues," Shelke declared passionately from the stage.

His remarks prompted a swift response from Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who publicly scolded Shelke during the same event. Pawar called for restraint, reminding Shelke and others to exercise patience and avoid creating unnecessary friction.

“Today, our Sunil Shelke was a little too heated. But we must act with patience. We need everyone, and we should not alienate anyone, as such actions rarely lead to positive outcomes. However, it is true that when you work hard and still face difficulties, it can be painful,” said Pawar, addressing the crowd.
