Pune: The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has firmly denied recent reports suggesting that 50 companies from the Chakan MIDC have relocated to other states.
Several media outlets had published news claiming that companies from Chakan's industrial hub had shifted their operations to Gujarat, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, sparking concerns over the region's industrial stability. However, MIDC officials have dismissed these reports as entirely inaccurate.
In its official statement, MIDC clarified that no company from the Chakan industrial area has relocated to any other state, and the reports are based on false information.
According to the MIDC, the Chakan MIDC continues to thrive as a major industrial zone in Maharashtra, attracting and retaining a wide range of businesses.
The MIDC highlighted the extensive infrastructure development that has taken place in Chakan across four phases, covering a total area of 2,700 hectares.
This development includes a comprehensive road network of 109 kilometers, ensuring smooth transportation within the industrial zone.
Additionally, the area is equipped with modern amenities such as street lighting, a dedicated fire station, and a parking facility to cater to the needs of industries operating in the zone.
One of the key infrastructure developments in Chakan is the establishment of an 8-million-liter-per-day water supply center, designed to meet the water requirements of industries in the area.
The MIDC's focus on providing essential services such as water, road connectivity, and safety measures underscores its commitment to maintaining Chakan as a competitive and attractive destination for industrial investments.
