Midnight Theft at Sant Tukaram Maharaj Paduka Mandir

Pune: Thieves stole Rs 8,000 in cash from the donation box at Sant Tukaram Maharaj Paduka Temple on Gopal Krishna Gokhale Road (Fergusson Road).

The incident occurred at midnight on Sunday (28th). A case has been registered against unknown thieves at the Deccan Police Station.

Ramesh Prataprao Shirole (63, resident of Shirole Road, Shivajinagar), a trustee of the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Paduka Temple Trust, filed the complaint. According to the police, the thieves broke the temple door lock at midnight on Sunday and entered the temple.

They then broke open the donation box lock and stole Rs 8,000 in cash. The theft was discovered on Sunday morning when the donation box was found empty.

Upon receiving the information, Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Bhosale visited the scene. The police are using CCTV footage from the temple area to search for the culprits.
