Pune: In a disturbing incident in the Thergaon area of Pimpri-Chinchwad, three minors were involved in vandalizing five to six vehicles while recording reels.

Using a machete, the youths shattered the windows of vehicles, causing substantial damage to the property of ordinary citizens. The incident took place at midnight.

The police reported that three unidentified minors broke vehicle windows in Thergaon at midnight. CCTV footage captured the entire incident, leading to the apprehension of two minors by the Wakad Police. The search for the third minor continues.

During the vandalism, one of the boys was seen recording reels while another was breaking the windows with a machete. This has been clearly documented in the CCTV footage. Although vehicle vandalism incidents had decreased recently, this new occurrence indicates a resurgence.

Meanwhile, a violent incident involving a gang wielding machetes and vandalizing vehicles occurred in the Loni Kalbhor area, due to personal hostility. Cross complaints have been filed in this matter, with cases registered against multiple individuals from both sides.

Ravindra Sahebrao Zhende (40), a resident of Indiranagar, Kadamwak Vasti, Loni Kalbhor, reported to the Loni Kalbhor Police Station that Avinash Kamthe, Prasad Jethithor, Akshay Pawar, Ganesh Ghodse, and Shubham are accused of vandalism and threats. The conflict started due to a dispute between Zhende and Kamthe.

Conversely, Rani Mahadev Kamthe (45) of Khaire Vasti, Loni Kalbhor, lodged a counter-complaint. Her report led to charges against Chandrashekhar alias Pilya Chormale, Kiran Anna Chavan, Ashish Zhende, Rohit Patil, and Yash Jain.

Both incidents have raised concerns over the increasing violence in the area, with police urging citizens to report any suspicious activities and ensuring that both sides receive fair investigations. Assistant Police Inspector Pawar is leading the investigation into this complaint.
