Pune: The 'Avishkar Research Competition' was successfully held at the Modern College of Pharmacy (Women), Moshi, under the Progressive Education Society, encouraging students to develop a scientific research mindset.
The event, organized as part of the University Grants Commission’s efforts to promote research among youth, saw active participation from both B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students.
Charuta Pacharne and Sonali Bachkar won the first prize in the B. Pharmacy category, while Rutuja Lohar secured the runner-up position. In the M. Pharmacy category, Anjali Vasule and Dhanshree Nerkar won the first prize, with Toshika Nikam and Shreya Patil finishing as runners-up. Manisha Shinde won the first prize in the Post-PG category.
The event was judged by Dr. Ujjwala Kandekar and Dr. Sameer Lakde, and coordinated by Dr. Prajakta Kothawade. Dr. Vrushali Tambe provided guidance to the participants. The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Principal Dr. S. N. Dhole and Vice Principal Dr. V. S. Tambe.
'Sangeet Sarita' National Music Festival
Tathawade: The 'Sangeet Sarita All-India Music Competition and Festival' was held with great enthusiasm at Indira College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Tathawade, organized by the institution's music department in collaboration with Talparikrama.
Over 117 students showcased their talents in a variety of music and dance categories, including semi-classical singing, film songs, Indian and Western instruments, and classical and group dance.
Judges Smita Deshmukh, Pramod Ganorkar, Santosh Salve, Azaruddin Sheikh, and Rajshree Dhongade evaluated the participants.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where dignitaries like singers Anjali Gaikwad, Nandini Gaikwad, and Pt. Angad Gaikwad distributed awards. The CEO of the institution, Dr. Pandit Mali, presided over the event, with Principal Dr. Anand Jumle delivering the opening remarks.
