Pune: The roads in the Moshi area, including the Dehu-Alandi BRTS, Laxmi Chowk, Old Moshi-Alandi Alhatwadi, Borate Vasti to Jadhavwadi Link Road, Adarsh Nagar, Shivajiwadi, and various markets in Moshi Authority, are riddled with numerous potholes.

Drivers are finding it challenging to navigate these roads, and there have been incidents of bikers slipping and falling. Local residents and drivers are questioning when these potholes will be repaired.

Significant potholes have developed on the Dehu-Alandi BRTS road, particularly in areas such as Sastewadi, Dudulgaon, in front of the Austia Housing Society, Kudale Vasti Road, and the old Moshi-Alandi Road in Alhatwadi, Sastewadi, Gaikwad Khora, and Borate Vasti to Jadhavwadi Link Road.

The water collected in these potholes has made the roads muddy, causing inconvenience for pedestrians who are getting splashed with water and mud from these potholes.

Residents and drivers like Suresh Deshmukh, Babnrao Shinde, Kishori Pathak, Nandakumar Gaikwad, and Madhuri Khadade are asking when these potholes will be filled.

"Excavation work is currently underway on the Alandi-Moshi BRTS road. The numerous potholes caused by the rain have made it difficult to navigate the road. When large vehicles pass by, water from the potholes splashes onto us bikers, causing us to lose control and risking accidents," said Mangesh Tawre from Dudulgaon, Moshi.

"Due to the ongoing rains and the excavation work for water pipelines on the Dehu-Alandi BRTS road, as well as the potholes on the internal roads, the potholes will be filled as soon as there is a break in the rain," assured Sanjay Kashid, Senior Engineer, BRTS Roads Department, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
