MSEDCL Trainees Suffer Minor Burns from Electric Shock in Wagholi

The victims have been identified as Arif Khayyum Shaikh (21, resident of Beed) and Aniket Angan Sawant (21, resident of Kej, Beed).

Pune: In a mishap near the Talera warehouse in Wagholi on Tuesday around 12 PM, two trainees of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) suffered burns due to an electric shock. The Loni Kalbhor police have reported that their injuries are not severe.

The victims have been identified as Arif Khayyum Shaikh (21, resident of Beed) and Aniket Angan Sawant (21, resident of Kej, Beed). According to the police, the two were working as trainees.

On Tuesday (August 6), while they were replacing a transformer switch near the Talera warehouse, they received an electric shock and suffered burns.

Both were subsequently taken to the hospital. Ravindra Khandve informed the police about the incident. Senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad from Loni Kalbhor police station stated that their condition is stable.
