Bhukum: Primary Health Sub-Centres in Ghotawade and Rihe (Tehsil Mulshi) are inadequately staffed. It's affecting health care. This is the result of the government not recruiting in the health department for many years.

Both sub-centres are located under the health centre at Maan. Meanwhile, the centre in Maan did not recruit health workers for three years. Health officials are having to diagnose and serve alone and work is stressed.

At least 250 patients come here every day. There is a need to have a rural hospital here as the population of the village has increased in a big way. It is also necessary to fill up the entire staff," said Vaishali Patil, health officer.

It also needs four staff at sub-centres in Ghotawade and Rihe. It currently has two employees each. It's a doctor and a nurse. The population of Ghotawade is increasing rapidly. Therefore, there is a need to increase health care here.

Asha workers are working for Mulkhed village here. The supply of medicines to the Rihe sub-centre is not adequate. There is also a single centre for eight villages. Due to inadequate staff, services cannot be provided to all villages on time. Anil More, a former sarpanch, said, "It is difficult for villagers during monsoon and summer.

Nearby, villagers in Pimpolli, Khamboli, Andhale, Katarkhadak villages and hamlets have to depend on ASHA workers. Fewer doctors, nurses and health assistants are creating health problems for villages from Man to Katarkad. The district council needs to make the necessary recruitment sooner.
