Pune: In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pune on Thursday (September 26), city officials are expecting a large number of visitors to arrive from nearby districts.

To accommodate the influx of vehicles, Pune District Collector Dr. Suhas Divse has ordered the reservation of multiple locations across the city for vehicle parking.

The decision was made to ensure smooth security operations and maintain law and order during the visit.

The reserved parking spots will be located in various areas, including the riverbed, Bhide Bridge, Patil Plaza, and D.P. Road. Other locations like New English School on Tilak Road, Mhatre Bridge, Harjeevan Hospital at Savarkar Chowk, and PMPML Ground at Puram Chowk have also been designated for parking.

Additional sites such as Nilayam Talkies, Vimalatai Garware School, and Abasaheb Garware College will be used to manage the parking needs during the event.

This arrangement has been implemented under the Central Disaster Management Act, considering the expected crowd and the security of the Prime Minister.

Special efforts are being made to ensure the safety of the public and ease of movement across the city during Modi's visit.

Meanwhile, the BJP has assigned responsibility for crowd mobilization to key leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and senior party officials in Pune. Party leaders from both state and city levels are involved in ensuring a large turnout.

Arrangements have been made to transport citizens to the rally from various parts of the city, with buses and other vehicles provided by the party. Officials are tasked with gathering names, phone numbers, and the expected number of participants to ensure smooth coordination.
