Mumbai-Pune Expressway: Bus Rams into Parked Truck, 10 Injured

A private bus coming from behind rammed into a truck parked on the third lane of Mumbai after the brakes of the truck came down.

Khopoli: A private passenger bus rammed into a truck parked on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Wednesday. Of the 38 passengers in the bus, 10 were seriously injured and 18 suffered minor injuries.

A private bus coming from behind rammed into a truck parked on the third lane of Mumbai after the brakes of the truck came down.

Thirty-eight girls from the team, who had gone to Kolhapur to play football, were travelling in this bus.

Four girls from the team were admitted to MGM Hospital. The remaining minor injured have been sent to Mumbai in an alternative vehicle.

After the accident, a team of Khopoli police along with a traffic police team from Borghat immediately carried out rescue operations.

Four persons were injured in an auto-tempo accident at Khandala Ghat around 10.30 am on Saturday.

The injured have been identified as Manisha Bhosale, Sunita Taral, Balaji Suryavanshi (driver), Sanket Ghare (co-driver), Abhijit Dinde, Sarita Shinde, Sandeep Moge and Sonakshi Kamble.
