Pune: Ambegaon taluka’s Bhagyashree Jagannath Jadhav, a national kho-kho player, has achieved her dream of becoming a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI).

Coming from a farmer's family in Jadhavwadi, Bhagyashree has not only earned medals in her sport but will now play a crucial role in maintaining law and order.

With determination and rigorous effort, Bhagyashree secured her PSI position. Inspired by her father, a CISF army officer, she harbored a passion for the uniform from childhood.

As a national kho-kho player, she has won gold medals in two national competitions and nine state-level contests under the Narasingh Sports Club in Ranjani.

Bhagyashree completed her primary education in her village, Jadhavwadi, and then joined Narasingh Vidyalaya Ranjani under the Rayat Shikshan Sanstha for her fifth-grade studies.

Initially, she had no knowledge of kho-kho, but under the guidance of kho-kho coach Sandeep Chavan and her fellow players, she achieved remarkable success in national and state-level competitions.

After completing her twelfth grade, Bhagyashree moved to Pune for further studies and rigorously prepared for the MPSC exam, succeeding in her first attempt with a score of 255 and securing her selection as a Police Sub-Inspector through the sports quota. Her selection has been widely praised by the community.

Bhagyashree, from a farming family, has parents currently engaged in farming. Her achievement as a Police Sub-Inspector has been celebrated by the residents of Jadhavwadi and Ranjani, as well as Narasingh Sports Club and Narasingh Vidyalaya.

Bhagyashree expressed her gratitude, saying that her dream of becoming a police officer has come true due to her dedication to kho-kho and the support of her family and coach Sandeep Chavan. She attributed her success to the consistent efforts in kho-kho, her family's support, and the guidance of her sports coach.
