Pune: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has commenced the online application process for its entrance selection exams for admission into Class 9 and Class 11 for the academic year 2025. The entrance exams are scheduled for February 8, 2025.

Students aspiring to join PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya must complete their application online, with the necessary documents uploaded during the process.

These include a recent photograph, the student's signature, a parent or guardian’s signature, an academic marksheet, and a valid photo ID such as Aadhaar or a school-issued ID card.

The entrance selection test will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with a total exam duration of two and a half hours. Special provisions have been made for differently-abled students, allowing them additional time to complete the test.

The exam itself will consist of 100 objective-type questions, testing the students' aptitude and knowledge across various subjects.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to visit the official Navodaya Vidyalaya website to register. The test is designed to select bright students for admission to the network of Navodaya schools across the country, which are known for providing high-quality education with a focus on holistic development.

PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a network of centrally administered schools in India, primarily aimed at identifying and nurturing talented students from rural backgrounds.

These schools focus on offering accelerated education opportunities to gifted students who face financial, social, or geographic barriers to accessing high-quality learning.

Managed by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, based in Noida, the schools operate under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education (MoE).

PM Shri JNVs are fully residential, co-educational institutions affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), offering education from grades VI to XII.
