Pune: A coffee shop in Ravet, which appeared to be a regular establishment for food and beverages, was revealed to be a front for inappropriate and obscene activities after a police raid.

The "U & Me Cafe" on D Y Patil Road was operating without a license, and the police discovered that it had been providing young people with private spaces for indecent behavior.

Police constable Sudha Toke filed a complaint at Ravet Police Station regarding the incident. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against Mahesh Ajinath Jadhav (27, resident of Panchvati Society, Ravet).

According to the police, "U & Me Cafe" on D Y Patil Road in Ravet was operating without a license. Mahesh Jadhav had put up a signboard advertising it as a coffee shop and appeared to be selling food items.

In reality, on the first floor of the shop, there were eight plywood partitions, each measuring 3 by 3 feet in width and approximately 5 feet in height. These partitions were numbered from 1 to 8.

The partitions were equipped with curtains on the outside and sofas inside for seating. The space was provided to young men and women to sit and engage in indecent and disorderly conduct.

As a result, a case has been registered against the accused, and police constable S.D. Kolge is investigating the matter.

Earlier, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Crime Branch had conducted a raid on ' Love Birds' cafe in Ravet on July 8. During the raid, it was found that the cafe had created partitioned areas with curtains, providing secluded spaces for students to engage in inappropriate and indecent activities.
