One Arrested for Manhandling Police

The arrested has been identified as Sunny Lamba (40), a resident of Ramamurthy Complex, Aundh Road, Khadki.

Pune: A man who informed the control room about the accident allegedly manhandled the police in Khadki area, police said on Sunday. He has been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting and obstructing government work.

The arrested has been identified as Sunny Lamba (40), a resident of Ramamurthy Complex, Aundh Road, Khadki. Haribhau Lohkare, a police officer, lodged a complaint at Khadki police station.

Police personnel Lohkare and colleagues were patrolling the Khadki area on Thursday night. Lamba then called the police control room and informed them about the accident.

Police personnel on patrol Lohkare and colleagues went there. It was then revealed that Lamba was giving partial information.

The police questioned him. Lamba then abused and manhandled the police. Police sub-inspector Anna Gunjal is investigating.
