Pune: More than one lakh students have registered online for admission to post-10th grade engineering diploma courses at polytechnics across Maharashtra. Some institutions offer bilingual instruction in Marathi and English. The deadline for online registration is June 25. The final merit list will be published on July 2, followed by three rounds of admissions.
Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director of Technical Education, announced that the new educational policy emphasizes skill-based courses and practical training, which are being provided through programs by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
The three-year polytechnic diploma course after the 10th grade is considered a valuable pathway for students seeking an engineering degree, employment, or self-employment.
The admission process began on May 29, following the announcement of the 10th-grade results by the state board. To date, 101104 students have registered, with expectations that the number of applications will increase this year. Polytechnics have introduced cutting-edge courses in artificial intelligence, data science, and robotics.
